The individuals affected by these merciless floods barely make it in a good year. Now, they are totally devastated and they need help from those who are more fortunate so that they can face the future again.

General IRS rule for donations: You can give up to $250 without a formal receipt as long as you have a record/receipt from your bank or the donation platform. For over $250, you need a receipt form ASAF. Jayanta will provide a receipt for every donation.
New donation rules from 2026 onward: a) If you itemize, you can deduct any amount above 0.5% of your AGI (Adjusted Gross Income). For example, if your income is $100,000, any amount above $500 can be deducted; you cannot deduct the first $500. b) If you do not itemize, you can still deduct up to $1,000 (single) and $2,000 (married).
